Just one week after Erlich and Ram's amazing achievement in Melbourne, RTM players collected two more trophies in doubles. Today, Benedict Dorsch won the challenger in Dallas together with a fellow German Bjorn Phau. The pair struggled through the first two rounds, entertaining the spectators with thrilling 3^rd set super tiebreaks. The later rounds went smoother for the determined Germans and they wrapped up the week with a confident 6-4 6-4 win over the local favorites: Scott Lipsky and David Martin of the USA.

More great news came from the Latin America, where the 15-year-old Russian rising star Lera Solovieva triumphed in the final of a Grade 2 ITF tournament in Peru. She teamed up with a local girl Claudia Razzeto and was rightfully treated as the Peruvian heroine after the championship-deciding three-setter. Lera also reached the tournament final in singles, but unfortunately lost a tough three set match against the American Mallory Burdette.
