The WTA circuit started well for RTM players in Australia. In the doubles circuit, Peng Shuai and Flavia Pennetta won titles in Sydney and Hobart, respectively. In the Sydney event, which is a $600,000 tournament, Peng Shuai and her partner Su-Wei Hsieh beat Nathalie Dechy/Casey Dellacqua 6-0,6-1. In Hobart, Flavia Pennetta, playing alongside Gisela Dulko, beat in the finals Alona Bondarenko/Kateryna Bondarenko 6-2,7-6 (4). The Goddesses of Tennis are showing their heat Down Under, getting ready for the first Grand Slam of the year, the Australian Open, which starts next week.
