Czech wildcard Lukas Dlouhy entered the quarter-finals without hitting a ball after top seed Nikolay Davydenko withdrew from the Chennai Open injured on a rain-hit Wednesday. Dlouhy was the only player to progress Wednesday after the rest to day's schedule was washed out. In the first round, Lukas beat Go Soeda from Japan 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. Today Lukas and his doubles partner Leander Paes will face Bjorn Phau and Rainer Schuettler from Germany in the first round of the doubles draw. The Chennai Open 2009 is a $450,000 ATP Tour tournament, played on hardcourt.
