RTM Signs Erlich and Ram

Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram, currently the 7th-ranked team in the Stanford Financial ATP Doubles Race, have chosen Renaissance Tennis Management for exclusive worldwide representation.

With the Doubles Revolution being promoted by the ATP, as well as increased television coverage, the game of doubles is growing rapidly in terms of popularity and exposure. In addition the ATP has selected Andy and Jonathan to be focused on as part of their marketing priorities in the coming years.

Erlich and Ram decided to work with RTM because they’ve seen how the career of Benjamin Becker has blossomed as has his off court fame. Andy said “The team at RTM is a strong one. They have Tarik Benhabiles, one of the best coaches in tennis and Luca Appino, who built up Babolat from a string company to one of the largest racquet manufacturers in the world.”

Jonathan added, “The team at RTM is made up of very successful people whose background impressed me, so we are glad to be part of this winning organization.”

Head Coach and Director of Tennis, Tarik Benhabiles, is enthusiastic about adding Erlich and Ram. “I started talking to the boys about what we were putting together in tennis and how we offer players something unique and distinct. They met my partners and now that we have them on our team, I’m excited to help them achieve their goal of winning a Grand Slam.”

Scot Hirschfield, Marketing Director of RTM, will be the point person for Erlich and Ram, and is in the process of planning an appearance schedule with members of the Jewish community during their visits to various cities in the USA and Europe.

Erlich and Ram recently reached the finals of the Pacific Life Open and Tennis Channel Open, and are preparing to represent Israel as they host Italy in a relegation Davis Cup tie.

They have won ten career titles, including four in 2006. They have reached the semifinals of Wimbledon and the finals of Tennis Masters Series events in Rome, Montreal and Indian Wells.

They also are members of the Israel Olympic team, who competed in Athens in 2004 and are planning to participate in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

RTM, a corporation based in the Bahamas, manages professional tennis players. In addition to Erlich and Ram, its global roster includes Benjamin Becker, the 2006 ATP Newcomer of the Yeare; Lera Solovieva, a 14-year-old sensation sponsored by Nike; Benedikt Dorsch, 2005 NCAA Champion; and Davis Cup players Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine, Michael Lammer of Switzerland and Horia Tecau of Romania.
