Bonnie DeSimone paints the Becker story well...Hailing from a small town in Germany, and a late bloomer on the tennis court, BB takes a scholarship to Baylor University...After a year of getting settled in the US, Becker starts playing up to his potential...wins the 2004 NCAA Singles Championship and also graduates with honors...With help from RTM, as well as Coaches Tarik Benhabiles and Jean-Luc Fontanot, after only a year of playing professionally BB finds himself against his childhood hero at the US Open and beats him...to end his career. He's now the biggest athlete in his part of Germany and the ATP's fastest rising player.

Established and respected tennis columnist, Charlie Bricker, of the Sun Sentinal quickly recaps Becker's rise in 2006, but focuses mainly on his outlook for 2007...one that could well include superstardom if he continues improving at the rate he has been. He's not related to Boris Becker and he's not just the guy who came out of nowhere to beat Agassi...He's continued to beat higher-ranked players and post impressive results and he's poised to become a top player on the ATP Tour.
