New York, Sept 03: Leander Paes and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy crushed the unseeded Argentine pair of Gonzalez and Monaco 6-2, 6-0 to storm into the final of the US Open men’s doubles event.
Earlier, the duo stormed into the semi-finals of US Open men’s doubles after beating the pair of Robert Lindstedt and Jarkko Nieminen 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 in a grueling match.
The road to semis for the 7th seeded pair was tough but the duo have displayed great match temperament to move into a territory that will etch their name in US Open history books if they win the finals.
